kmfl-0.7 released

kmfl-0.7 has been released. Source, RPMs for SuSE 9.2 and debs for Unbuntu Hoary Hedgehog can be downloaded from http://sourceforge.net/projects/kmfl.

kmfl-0.7 is primarily a bugfix release over 0.6. See the ChangeLog for more details.

kmfl-0.6 and later requires scim-1.2.2 or later. Recent versions of scim for debian can be found at http://apt.debian.org.tw or http://chinese.alioth.debian.org/scim-experimental/.

kmfl-0.6 adds the ability to load uncompiled keyboards on the fly. There is no longer any need to precompile keyman keyboards. Drop the kmn source files into ~/.scim/kmfl, and kmfl will automatically compile and load the keyboards when scim starts.

kmfl-0.6 changes the dependencies. As of kmf-0.6 libkmfl depend on kmflcomp. If you are compiling from source you will need to compile and install kmflcomp before compiling and installing libkmfl.

Keyboard Mapping for Linux (KMFL) is a keyboarding input method currently being developed under Linux which aims to bring Tavultesoft Keyman functionality to *nix operating systems.

For those of you looking for keyboards to be used with KMFL, some can be found at http://scripts.sil.org/cms/scripts/page.php?site_id=nrsi&item_id=KeymanKeyboardLinks
The ones I know are usable are:

Pan-Africa
Kenya
Biblical Hebrew
SIL Greek Polytonic Keyboard
SIL Unicode IPA

I am also in communication with other Keyman keyboard authors with the objective being to make the source for their keyboards available for use with KMFL.
