SCIM IRC Channel established

A dedicated IRC channel for SCIM project is established in freenode.net, called #scim.

Two New Developers joined and a new sub-project

Recently two new developers were joined SCIM project: William J Beksi and cooleyes. scim-ccinput was brought in as a new sub-project of SCIM by cooleyes. In addition, a forcast for upcoming releases is covered as well.

New developer and sub project: scim-fcitx

Lately Haojun Bao joined SCIM project with a ported fcitx to SCIM platform: scim-fcitx. He is in charge of the maintance of the port. Other news includes news about a new mailing list and a new online survey.

FAQ section of wiki implemention is completed

The FAQ section, as the second stage of the Wiki part implementation, was just finished. Please do not hesitate to contribute. In addition, a privilege bug of this site was fixed and a new online survey question was published. A new preview screen shot of next skim release demonstrating transparent feature was uploaded too.

First Stage of Wiki Implementation is Finished

Documentation is one of the most wanted missing materials for SCIM project, so the first stage of Wiki section in this site is to implement a collaberative documentation area. Now this task has been fulfilled and here we go!

New site pagelayout rolls out

The new pagelayout for this site takes effect today as you may have noticed. Hopefully you will enjoy this new arrangement. What's more, please expect other exciting functionalities soon, be tuned! This news will cover the details of what has been done and what will be done.

User privileges and template file bugs are fixed

Just discovered that self-registered users do not have enough privileges to add comments and use the top two options in their Account toolbox on the right. These have been fixed.

Support SCIM project financially

A new article about supporting SCIM project financially was published in the Development/Contribute section.

New maillists for SCIM project have been created on sourceforge.net

Recently I created two new maillists on sourceforge.net, please feel free to subscribe to them to discuss with us.

New homepage for SCIM project

Due to the recent compromise of the Freedeskop.org where SCIM was hosted, the wiki page there has been in a totally un-usable state for several weeks. We decided to migrate to other places.
