New developer and sub project: scim-fcitx
Lately Haojun Bao joined SCIM project with a ported fcitx to SCIM platform: scim-fcitx. He is in charge of the maintance of the port. Other news includes news about a new mailing list and a new online survey.
As one of the two most popular Simplified Chinese input method platform widely used in Mainland China, fcitx is known for its simplicity and user-friendly yet powerful Chinese input methods. Now with the contribution of Haojun Bao, all the original fcitx input methods are working natively under the framework of SCIM.
Currently, no public release yet, but you may give it a try if you don't mind to get it from our CVS.
A new read only mailing list scim-cvs was setup to achieve all CVS commits.
